Position Overview: The Assistant Registrar supports the management of student records, enrollment processes, and academic administration. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of student information and facilitating a seamless experience for students and faculty. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and committed to providing excellent service in a dynamic educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Records Management
- Maintain and update student records in compliance with school policies and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of student information.
- Assist in the preparation of transcripts, enrollment verifications, and other academic documents.
Enrollment and Registration
- Support the registration process for online and onsite classes, including adding/dropping courses, managing waitlists, and processing registration changes.
- Assist with the development and implementation of registration policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance to students on registration procedures and academic policies.
Data Management and Reporting
- Utilize the school’s student information system (SIS) to manage and track student data.
- Generate reports and provide data analysis to support academic planning and decision-making.
- Assist in preparing reports for accreditation and compliance purposes.
Academic Scheduling
- Collaborate with academic departments to develop and maintain class schedules for online and onsite programs.
- Coordinate classroom assignments and manage room bookings.
- Assist in the planning and execution of academic events, such as orientation and graduation.
Customer Service
- Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, and staff, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Serve as a resource for students regarding academic policies, procedures, and requirements.
Technology Integration
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of technology solutions that enhance the registration and records management processes.
- Provide training and support to staff and students on the use of the SIS and other academic technologies.
Compliance and Accreditation
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations and policies.
- Assist with the preparation of documentation for accreditation and program reviews.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or associate degree in education, business administration, or a related field, bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a registrar’s office or related academic administrative role.
- Familiarity with student information systems (SIS) and academic records management.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with database management.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a nursing or healthcare education environment.
- Knowledge of online education platforms and learning management systems (LMS).
- Experience with accreditation processes and requirements.
